TAMPA, Fla. – It has been a busy year for UCLA senior Sydney Leroux. After scooping up the 2011 W-League Rookie of the Year the Canadian-born USA international has continued to burn up the pitch for the Bruins. Leroux was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after notching her second hat trick in two weeks against Colorado, and she has been called into the full U.S. Women’s National Team camp this month.

Pali Blue and current Long Beach State attacker Nadia Link earned Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors as her side clinched a berth in the Big West Conference Tournament. Link had two goals and two assists in wins against UC Davis and Pacific last week.

Laura Dodd of Fresno State was awarded WAC Offensive Player of the Week. Dodd, who lined up for the Santa Clarita Blue Heat this season, assisted on the game-tying goal then scored the game-winner against Nevada.

Bridgett Miller earned her second consecutive West Coast Conference Player of the Week award after leading the Broncos to a pair of wins. Miller, a former Ventura County Fusion player, scored the game-winner against Pepperdine and added another against LMU.

Tiffini Turpin helped the Atlanta Silverbacks to the 2011 W-League title and she is performing superbly for the UAB Dragons this season as well. Turpin was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week after recording hat trick in a double-overtime 3-2 win against East Carolina.

Brianna Young of Texas A&M earned the Big XII Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring a goal and an assist last week. The former Real Colorado player’s points came in a big win against rival Texas.

Western Michigan’s Stephanie Skowneski won MAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals against Northern Illinois. Skowneski, a former Kalamazoo Outrage player, helped Western Michigan clinch third place in the MAC.

Elizabeth Ruiz collected the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week award for a clean-sheet win against Idaho. The current Boise State keeper lined up for the Seattle Sounders Women this past season.

Leroux, Link, and Young were also named to Soccer America’s Women’s Team of the Week.
