WILMINGTON, N.C. – Wilmington Hammerheads FC announced on Thursday the re-signing of forward Cody Arnoux for the 2014 USL PRO season. This will be Arnoux’s third consecutive season with the USL PRO club.
“I am excited to be back for my third season,” said Arnoux. “I am even more excited to spend another year in my hometown of Wilmington. It is great to see all of our local soccer programs doing well and growing in numbers.”
The Wilmington native filled a late slot in the Hammerheads roster in July 2012 after having previously signed with Real Salt Lake and the Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer. Prior to the start of his MLS career, Arnoux was on a one-year agreement with Everton of the English Premier League.
“I am very happy to have Cody back,” said David Irving, Wilmington Hammerheads FC Head Coach. “He has experienced a few unlucky seasons due to injuries over recent years, but with a full bill of health and injury behind him, I am looking forward to an outstanding season from Cody.”
Arnoux finished the 2013 USL PRO regular season with four goals and one assist for the Hammerheads.
The Hammerheads kick off their first game of the 2014 USL PRO regular season on Saturday, April 5 against the Harrisburg City Islanders at Legion Stadium.
