ST. JOHN'S, Antigua -- Antigua Barracuda FC will welcome the Charleston Battery this weekend to the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, as the Battery make their first visit to paradise since the addition of Antigua to USL PRO. In the two previous meetings, Charleston ran away with two decisive victories, but the Barracudas are ready to restore parity and move their season into high gear.

“We are fully focused on the task at hand, we need to get going and this is as good a time as any”, said Director of Football, Fernando Abraham as he spoke to the media today. “Everybody is aware of the tough schedule we’ve had, but we make no excuses, the time is right for us to stand up and be counted."

The Caribbean outfit has been engaged in in a gruelling schedule involving USL PRO games, alongside Caribbean Club Championship and World Cup Qualifying contests. The team enters this weekend with a 2-8-0 record in USL PRO and Coach Tom Curtis is targeting a turnaround in fortunes.

“With the right commitment from these players we can beat anyone, and that’s the target this weekend, six points," Curtis said. "We have no time to be sorry for ourselves, we know what’s required and we have had a few good days of rest and recovery and working on the things that matter, we are confident we can do it."

One player that has played every minute of every game this season is captain George Dublin and he too is confident, that the season is still well within the side's grasp to ruffle a few feathers.

"At the minute we look rank outsiders to finish top six," he said, "but with a good run, beginning this weekend, we still fancy our chances of being in the mix. It’s been hard on the players but cutting out the defensive errors and taking a few of our chances will give us the lift we need. The players know what to do and we plan to execute to the best of our ability."

Both games kick off at 7 p.m. ET on Friday and Sunday night and will be live on USLNation.com, the league's free streaming video site.
