TAMPA, Fla. – USL announced today that the recently unveiled Mid-South Super-20 League Division has expanded for its inaugural 2012 season. Joining the five previously announced clubs will be FC Dallas West Texas, Alamo SC and American Eagles SC.

FC Dallas West Texas, based out of Midland, Texas, is a satellite program for the FC Dallas youth setup. The club is also affiliated with the West Texas United Sockers of the PDL. The Super-20 League will serve as a transition between the youth program and next level for the club’s players.

“We see the Super-20 League as just another way we can offer continued development for our older players in a competitive environment,” FC Dallas West Texas Director of Coaching Hobie Richardson said. “We are expecting a very high level of competition. With the list of competing clubs, and the reputations these clubs have for producing top-tier teams, this Mid-South division is shaping up to be a very strong division.”

The aptly named Alamo SC is based out of San Antonio, Texas. The club offers a variety of playing levels for youth and adults and the Super-20 League should create the perfect opportunity to help develop the club’s talent.

“We want U20 to be about development in a highly competitive environment,” Alamo SC General Manager Lance Noble said. “With this approach we feel that our kids will thrive.”

Joining them will be American Eagles SC, based out of the Dallas Fort-Worth area. The club currently offers a complete range of age groups for boys and girls to participate in. The addition Super-20s will add to the club’s current offering to give its players a broader opportunity to further their games.
