ST. ALBAN'S, Vt. -- Bo Vuckovic, Owner of the Vermont Voltage of the USL PDL, has announced the hiring of Hugh Brown as Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel effective immediately.
“The entire Voltage organization is extremely excited to have Coach Hugh Brown on the board as Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel," Vuckovic said. "His great track record in developing players is second to none and the Voltage club is looking forward to tremendous success on and off the field. We are very confident that Hugh Brown will bring the Voltage to another level in soccer in the United States and continue the success and high standards that the Voltage are measured by.”
Brown holds an ‘A’ License from the United States Soccer Federation and brings a wealth of experience to the Voltage working as a full-time professional coach for the last 16 years. Brown has an extensive player development background at the NCAA Division I Collegiate level and at the highest levels of youth soccer. Brown moved from Atlanta to Vermont in 2003 and is the Founder and Director of the Synergy Football Club – a premier youth soccer academy.
Brown has already begun recruiting players for the 2012 Vermont Voltage squad and will conduct open tryouts for the Voltage on April 28 and 29th, 2012.
