TAMPA, Fla. – United Soccer Leagues announced the Super Y-League First 11 and Second 11 rankings for the 2011 regular season today, recognizing the league’s top clubs on a competitive and administrative basis. Taking top honors this season were the MPS Bulldogs/Renegades.
MPS Bulldogs/Renegades finished atop the overall club standing after garnering a score of 89.97. MPS Renegades finished first in the Girls First 11, while MPS Bulldogs placed seventh in the First 11 for boys. MPS Bulldogs/Renegades, part of the Mass Premier Soccer organization, represent the Greater Boston area. This year the MPS Renegades (Girls) U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 teams along with the MPS Bulldogs (Boys) U13, U14, U15 and U16 teams have qualified for the 2011 USL Super Y-League North American Finals.
The Ottawa Fury finished first in the Boys First 11 with a total of 92.67 points. Ottawa also finished second in the overall standings and is sending seven teams to this year’s Super Y-League North American Finals
A final set of rankings will be released after the conclusion of the SYL North American Finals, schedule to take place from December 2-6 at the J.C. Handley Sports Complex and the Land O’Lakes Recreation Complex in Tampa, Florida.
