TAMPA, Fla. - Four Super Y-League League players will head to the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. for the U.S. Under-14 Girls’ National Team training camp this week. The camp will run from September 18-25 as the U.S. Soccer Women’s Development Director Jill Ellis looks to identify the next generation of talent for U.S. Soccer.
Gabriela Rivera (Atlanta Fire), Alana Cook (Match Fit Chelsea), Kayla Jennings (Match Fit Chelsea) and Keri Cavallo (Brooklyn Knights) are four of the selected players and all four made appearances at the 2010 Super Y-League North American Finals. Cavallo took home Super Y-League Girls U13 All-Tournament Team honors after finishing second in scoring at the tournament in the U13 age group. Cavallo along with Rivera and Jennings also earned invites to the USL Olympic Development Program (ODP) camp last March.
More details about the camp, including the complete roster can be found here.
