HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Harrisburg City Islanders will be hosting the Wilmington Hammerheads this Saturday night at 7:00pm at Skyline Sports Complex on City Island. The Harrisburg City Islanders are currently on a three-game unbeaten streak, clinching a playoff spot this past Wednesday.The Hammerheads are 5-2-0 in their last seven games, outscoring opponents 15-8.
Harrisburg City Islanders (9-5-6, 33 points)
The Harrisburg City Islanders are currently tied with the Rochester Rhinos for first place of the National Division. This will be the City Islanders 11th home game of the season, recording a 6-1-3 record, scoring USL second-best 24 goals and allowing 11 goals. Overall, the City Islanders have scored the most goals in the USL PRO with 35.
In the month of July, the City Islanders have been playing well, proving themselves to be a contending team for the USL PRO championship, going 3-1-3 and outscoring opponents 17-10.
The last time Harrisburg and Wilmington met was back on July 16th at Legion Stadium in North Carolina, where the City Islanders lost to the Hammerheads 3-1. Up 1-0 going into the second half, the City Islanders would give up three goals to the Hammerheads. Goals from Andres Cuero, Luke Mulholland and Richard Jata earned the Hammerheads the win.
This past Wednesday, the Harrisburg City Islanders beat the Dayton Dutch Lions F.C. in an unforgettable 3-2 win at Dayton's Miami Valley South Stadium. Down 2-1 in the 90th minute, City Islanders midfielder Jason Hotchkin stepped up to a free kick and scored his third goal of the season. Minutes later in stoppage time, Harrisburg forward Sainey Touray delivered a ball to rookie forward Morgan Langley for the game-winning goal. It was Langley's second goal of the season. The win moved the City Islanders into a tie for first place in the National Division with the Rochester Rhinos.

The former New York Red Bull has registered a USL PRO-best 19 points, along with league's second-most goals (7) and assists (5).
Stephen Basso
The former Crystal Palace Baltimore and Real Maryland Monarchs player is one of the main reasons for the City Islanders defense success this season. He's also helped offensively, tallying one goal and one assist.
Wilmington Hammerheads (10-6-3, 33 points)
The Wilmington Hammerheads are currently tied with the Richmond Kickers for second place of the American Division. They're nine points behind first-placed Orlando City. This will be Wilmington's 10th away game of the season, recording a 2-4-3 record, scoring a USL PRO second-fewest goals (8) and allowing 12 goals. Overall, the Hammerheads have scored the second-most goals in the league (33) and have allowed 24 goals this season. Since beating the City Islanders 3-1 back on July 16th at Legion Stadium, the Hammerheads have gone 1-1, both against the Charlotte Eagles, outscoring them 3-1.

The former Charlotte Eagle currently has the most assists on his team with four as well as scoring the second most goals (5) and shots (27).
Kickoff on Saturday is at 7 p.m. and gates open at 5:30 p.m. There will be a Soccer Shots Global Goals clinic at 10 a.m. All clinic participants will enjoy a halftime contest on the game field. Also, there will be a silent auction to benefit Global Goals. Preschool night is open to all kids and starts at 5:30 p.m. It includes spinning art, wheel games, soccer tattoos, face painting, Jumping Jungle and more.
