RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to team up with HCA Virginia to host Kick for the Cure Night on Friday, June 17. The Kickers pro players will wear custom pink jerseys for the match against the Harrisburg City Islanders, that will auctioned during the game, with proceeds directly benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Central Virginia. The pro soccer game will kick off at 7 p.m., with the silent jersey auction beginning at 6 p.m. at Richmond City Stadium.
“Komen Central Virginia is excited to be a beneficiary of this event with one of Richmond’s favorite community partners,” said Linda Tiller, Executive Director. “It is an opportunity to further engage families in the area in our mission.”
Kickers Pink Packs are available for just $40 and include four general admission tickets and four limited edition pink Kickers t-shirts. The Kickers will donate $10 from each Pink Pack directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Central Virginia. Kickers Pink Packs are on sale now at RichmondKickers.com.
HCA Virginia will be in attendance to provide health information and fun activities for fans of all ages. HCA Virginia, one of the Kickers’ strongest partners since the professional team’s inception in 1993, is also a big supporter of Susan G. Komen of Central Virginia.
“We are proud to partner with the Kickers and Susan G. Komen to honor our survivors and raise awareness about breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment,” said Karen Nelson, spokesperson for HCA Virginia. “Our HCA Virginia team will feature a variety of health tips and information at this game and we hope everyone will stop by to take a step toward a healthier future.”
