FAIRFAX, Va. – The Braddock Road Stars Elite (0-4-1) will host the New York Magic (2-3-1) Sunday in a key Northeastern Conference rematch. In their first meeting last Saturday, the Magic defeated the Stars Elite 3-1. Serina Kashimoto put the Magic up early off a free kick while Sara Sanau Ruiz netted the final two. Kristen Meier scored the only goal for the Stars Elite.
Braddock Road currently sits at the bottom of the Northeastern Conference table with one point. The Stars Elite earned their lone point of the season in a 1-1 tie on the road against the Long Island Rough Riders. Marisa Park leads the team with two goals.
With seven points, New York is currently fourth in the conference. Kashimoto has played every minute thus far and is leading the team with four points.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Sunday at Samuel J. Coffey Stadium at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia. Admission into the game is free.
