WATERLOO, Ont. -- K-W United FC is headed to the United States to take on the Michigan Bucks in Detroit on Saturday. The last meeting was less than a week ago when K-W United pulled out the 1-0 win thanks to a goal by Jarek Whiteman and a standout performance by goalkeeper Darrin MacLeod.
United goes into the game having not allowed a goal against in three games and as the only team in the Great Lakes Division to not lose a game thus far. They also sit third in the Great Lakes, having only played three games.
The key this week will be to alter their game to play indoors while keeping Michigan off the scoreboard once again.
"A trip to Michigan is always going to be a challenge," head coach Stuart Neely said. "They are a strong footballing side with lots of mobility and, like other teams, press you well. We need to be ready for that and be ready to match and better their efforts.
"Past results mean nothing when you're on the road, so were ready for another competitive match in a strong division."
