LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The LA Blues (3-0-0) will take on the Colorado Pride (1-0-0) on Saturday in a crucial W-League Western Conference early-season meeting of undefeated teams at the StubHub Center. The game will be the first meeting between the Blues and the expansion Pride.
The Blues are running on a three-game unbeaten streak that has seen them outscore opponents 19-0 while the Pride kicked off their season with a 1-0 victory againnst the Colorado Storm thanks to a goal from Mallory Weber.
Coming off a convincing 3-0 win against the Seattle Sounders on two goals from Mele French and another from Katie Stengel, the Blues will look to continue distancing themselves from the rest of the Western Conference. They currently sit comfortably atop the conference table with nine points above the second-place Colorado Rush, who have five points.
The match will be part of another doubleheader at the StubHub Center, this time with MLS side Chivas USA. Fans can purchase discounted tickets for the Chivas USA game using the code “blues14” and use it to enter the Blues game. More information is available at bluessoccerclub.com.
Saturday’s match between the Blues and Pride will kick off at 5 pm PT at the Track and Field Stadium before Chivas USA takes on the Philadelphia Union at 7:30 p.m. PT in the main stadium.
