TUKWILA, Wash. – The Sounders Women announced today the signing of former England youth national team attacker Emma Follis for the 2014 W-League campaign. Follis comes to the Sounders after 14 years in the club system for Aston Villa Ladies, in Birmingham, England.
Follis, 22, can play out wide or through the middle as a second striker. She played for the England U19s for two seasons, and graduated through Aston Villa's girls centre of excellence.
The Sounders Women continue to build their roster, with the next exhibition slated for Friday, May 9 against Western Washington. The match will be held as the first half of a doubleheader, to be followed by the Sounders U-23 vs. Bellingham United men’s teams in Bellingham, Washington.
