Pittsburgh Riverhounds News Release -- www.riverhounds.com

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Riverhounds begin their USL PRO home schedule on Saturday night at Highmark Stadium against the Wilmington Hammerheads. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff, and will be streamed live on YouTube.

After two tough fixtures on the road against the 2013 USL PRO Champion, Orlando City, and the 2013 Regular Season Champion, Richmond Kickers, to begin the season, the Riverhounds are excited to open their home campaign this weekend in Station Square.

"We are excited to return to the friendly confines of Highmark Stadium," said head coach Justin Evans. "It is the team's focus to maximize our points at home this season."

The Riverhounds and Hammerheads met twice in 2013, seeing the home side earn victory in each contest.  Traditionally, the two clubs play different formations, leading to multiple attacking strategies. The Riverhounds build through the midfield and attack as a unit, while the Hammerheads play a more direct approach by applying pressure immediately on their opponent's back four defenders.

Regardless of the formations and strategies displayed on the pitch, Saturday night's meeting will be an intense and physical battle as both sides are looking for their first win of this young USL PRO season.

Immediately following the match, a fireworks display provided by Highmark will light up the Pittsburgh Skyline for the first time in 2014. For more information on the Riverhounds, visit www.riverhounds.com.
