HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Harrisburg City Islanders are pleased to announce the club has re-signed forward Morgan Langley. The Hawaiian native will return for his fourth season with the club. Langley is poised to be a highly productive player for the Isles in 2014.
The 5-foot-10, 150-pound forward had a highly productive 2013 campaign with the Isles. During the 2013 season, Langley appeared in 22 matches, tallying 1,364 minutes on the pitch. He also recorded 12 points on four goals and four assists. The versatile forward has recorded nine goals and six assists during his three years with the Isles.
"We are excited to have Morgan back for his fourth season with us, he is coming off his most productive season yet in 2013," said Isles Head Coach Bill Becher.
Prior to his time in Harrisburg, Langley had a standout collegiate career at Swarthmore College. During his senior season at Swarthmore, Langley produced one of the best offensive seasons in school-history, registering 42 points off of 14 goals and 14 assists. During the same season, Langley was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year and was voted First Team All-American by D3soccer.com.
With the 2014 USL PRO season rapidly approaching, the Islanders are preparing for yet another action-packed season of soccer. The Isles kick off their season on Saturday, April 5th on the road against the Wilmington Hammerheads at Legion Stadium. The Isles home opener is slated for Saturday, April 19th against the Dayton Dutch Lions.
