WATERLOO, Ont. -- K-W United FC is thrilled to announce the arrival of new head coach, Stuart Neely. Neely will take the helm with United after the unexpected departure of previous head coach, Brett Mosen.

With years of experience in North America and internationally, Neely comes to K-W United FC to serve as the vice president of football and head coach of both the PDL and W-League teams. Being familiar with the national and provincial scene, Neely hopes to build on the years of experience and positive relationships established to make the club an ongoing success.

"I'm very lucky to be involved in the game and when provided an opportunity to do so with good footballing people in such a great community as Kitchener-Waterloo, you have to seriously consider the benefits professionally and personally. It brings me home to help in the development of the Canadian game and our players," Neely said.

Neely's professional accomplishments include coaching with the Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps, the Canadian Soccer Association and the Ontario Soccer Association, as well as his most recent position as the head of football development for New Zealand.

"While the season is short, we must look to the long term and what lies ahead for the program and what we expect of ourselves and the players," Neely said. "We can't look at this as a year-to-year commitment. We need stability in everything we do and we must be great doing it - needless to say, the local clubs will also play a huge part in our growth and we must continue to build strong relationships as we build pathways for players and coaches.

"Everyone in the PDL knows that it is all hands on deck and I'm prepared to be part of that, to build a vision that is centered around the players, the community and obviously the club. We are United!"

K-W United FC would like to wish a warm welcome to our newly-appointed head coach.
