LAREDO, Texas -- The Laredo Heat Soccer Club announced details on Monday involving three Mexican Federation powerhouse clubs coming to the Gateway City in early July to partake in the 2013 International Soccer Festival presented by Falcon Bank. Confirmed clubs participating in the “Soccer Fest” are Club Rayados de Monterrey Under-20, Club Deportivo Chivas de Guadalajara Under-20 and Club Tigres de la U.A.N.L. Under-20.

The festivities for this four day tournament will begin on Wednesday, July 3rd when the home team Laredo Heat will host division rival Austin Aztex in a Premier Development League (PDL) Mid-South Division match scheduled to kick-off at 8:00 P.M. at the Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex.

In celebration of the Soccer Fest and the 4th of July Holiday, the game versus the Aztex, coined the “Freedom Match” will offer FREE general admission entry to everyone plus FREE hot dogs and FREE Orange Leaf Yogurt (courtesy of Orange Leaf Yogurt on North McPherson to the first 400 fans). VIP Admission will still be $20 for this game.

On Thursday, July 4th, the Club Rayados de Monterrey Under-20’s will battle the Club Deportivo Chivas de Guadalajara Under 20’s to open up the three day “Soccer Fest”.

And then on Friday, July 5th, the home team Laredo Heat SC will host the Club Tigres de la U.A.N.L. Under 20’s in what should be a challenging match for the Gateway City team.

On Saturday July 6th, the “Soccer Fest” will close out with a re-match of the Mexican Federation’s Under 20 Division Spring 2013 Championship Game as the Chivas de Guadalajara Under 20’s will face the Club Tigres Under 20’s. The Spring 2013 (Clausura) Champion were the Chivas de Guadalajara Under 20’s.

“As always, I personally want to invite everyone to attend as many of the matches during these four days of soccer and show these visiting teams how great Laredo as a city is and how awesome its fans can be when it comes to support.”
