LOS ANGELES – The Pali Blues (3-1-0) will take on the Seattle Sounders (3-0-1) on Sunday at 3 p.m. PT as the race toward the playoffs heats up. The Blues could take over first place in the Western Conference with a win, but Seattle won’t give up three points easily.

The Blues enter the match with another win under their belts, having defeated the Colorado Rapids 4-0 on Thursday night. Playing her first game with the Blues, Makenzy Doniak got off to a great start, scoring two goals on the night, while Ashley Freyer added two of her own.

The Sounders have earned six points so far in their three-game trip to Southern California. They began with a 2-1 victory against the LA Strikers on Wednesday, then defeated the Santa Clarita Blue Heat 2-1 on Friday. Sara Campbell has scored two of the Sounders’ four goals, while Melissa Busque and Tafara Pulse have added one each.

With the same amount of wins in four matches, only one point separates the Blues from the Sounders, who tied against the Colorado Rush earlier in the season for a point. However, the Blues have scored four more goals (14-10), and allowed three fewer goals (3-6).

The match begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Palisades High School. Tickets can be purchased at bluessoccerclub.com/ticketshttp://bluessoccerclub.com/tickets, or at the stadium one hour before kickoff.
