WATERLOO, Ont.
- K-W United FC is pleased to announce the signings of sisters Courtney and Candace Conrad for its W-League team for the upcoming season.

Courtney, from Dartmouth, N.S., comes off her second season with Virginia Commonwealth University, where she was one of three players to start every match with the Rams. She led the team in goals with 11, game-winning goals with five, and points with 23. She was named to the First Team All-Atlantic 10 and also gained NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic region honors. She was a member of the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team in the same year.

Prior to VCU, she spent a season with Jacksonville University. She led Jacksonville in both points (20) and goals (8) and was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team and the All-Tournament Team. She was a member of the U-20 Canadian National team player pool.

Candace joins Courtney at K-W United, after playing for Dartmouth United for the past six years. She played for Halifax County United when she was 16 and played for Prince Andrew High School and received the Rookie of the Year award.

Candace also played for the Nova Scotia Provincial team for five years, from the age of 13 until 18, and played the role of captain for the U-16 and U-18 teams. She was a member of the National Training Atlantic from 2007-09.

Candace has not committed to a university yet, but is debating between McGill University, University of New Brunswick Fredericton, and Acadia University.

The women start their season Wednesday against London at 7 p.m. at University Stadium.
