VSI Tampa Bay FC News Release -- www.vsi-fc.com

Saturday, April 20, 2013

TAMPA, Fla. – Following VSI Tampa Bay FC's 3-0 win against the Rochester Rhinos in VSI’s inaugural season home opener last week, Matt Weston's side is ready for its second meeting with the LA Blues this season. Los Angeles visits Plant City Stadium on Sunday night, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. ET.

The first meeting of the two sides was in California at Sherbeck Field, with Tampa Bay taking a 1-0 victory at the Los Angeles Blues’ home, the team’s first win in franchise history. VSI midfielder Antonio Neto went down in history with the club's first goal, as he scored the game-winner in the second half.

Los Angeles enters Sunday's game after falling 3-2 on Friday night against Orlando City, the second game of a three-game road trip that concludes on Sunday. Rodrigo Lopez had a goal and assist for the Blues against the Lions, but Orlando was able to take victory thanks to two goals and an assist by Jamie Watson at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Players to watch for VSI Tampa Bay FC include Douglas Dos Santos and Karamba Janneh. Offensive threats, Dos Santos and Janneh both scored in VSI’s last game against the Rochester Rhinos and have created numerous opportunities for VSI Tampa Bay FC early on this season. A rookie, Dos Santos is tied with Mauricio Salles for the team lead with three points this season.

On the Los Angeles Blues side, look for George Davis IV, who has a pair of goals this season, and Chris Cortez to cause trouble for Tampa Bay's defense. Both Blues forwards are dangerous in the final third and may cause VSI keeper Alex Horwath to make some saves this Sunday.

In-match concessions are provided by Alessi Catering and Sunday night’s special guests are youth and adult soccer players of the Plant City Lancers soccer club. Sunday evening’s match is being streamed by estrellaTV television crew and UNATION and is viewable on USL LIVE. To watch online visit www.uslnation.com.

Tickets to the match are $10 for adults and $5 for children. This week tickets are buy one get one of equal or lesser value free online or at the gates. To order tickets visit www.vsi-fc.com or the gates open at 6 p.m. ET.
