VICTORIA, B.C. – The Victoria Highlanders Football Club are pleased to announce a partnership with Fortis BC. The partnership allows the Highlanders to work with the province’s largest utilities company with the desire to provide a spark for the upcoming season.
“Fortis BC is proud and happy to support the Highlanders,” said Bob Anderson Senior Manager, Residential & Commercial Energy Solutions. “Soccer is a high energy game and we’re in the business of providing energy. We can appreciate how important this kind of activity is to the community and are proud to be a part of it.”
Fortis BC provides energy to over a million people in several communities throughout British Columbia. They supply approximately 22% in the province. The partnership with the Highlanders shows Fortis BC’s belief in the importance of community growth.
“We are excited to be associated with such a well-established organization,” stated Highlanders FC General Manager Mark deFrias. “Fortis are fast becoming a community leader within Victoria, and we know they will be able to provide our fans a unique and innovative game day experience matched by no other.”
