ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Rochester Rhinos announced that they have signed former Puerto Rico Islanders forward Kendall Jagdeosingh to a contract on Wednesday. The contract is a one-year deal with a club option for 2012.
As a member of the Islanders, the 24-year old native of Trinidad and Tobago helped Puerto Rico to the 2008 USL First Division regular season title and a trip to the semifinals of the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League. In addition he helped the Islanders capture the 2010 USSF D2 Pro League championship with a 3-1 win on aggregate over the Carolina RailHawks.
“Kendall is a very talented forward that has been a big contributor in Puerto Rico” said Rhinos Head Coach Bob Lilley. “Jagdeosingh is a very dynamic forward with good ability to hold the ball, beat players with his pace and does an enormous amount of work. He plays with tremendous energy and a physical presence. We are excited to have him as he has been consistently dangerous in our league and CONCACAF games.”
The forward also has international experience as a member of the Trinidadian National U-23 team. As a member of the U-23’s, Jagdeosingh participated in the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The forward began his club career with the North East Stars (2004-05, 2007) and Caledonia AIA of the TT Pro League.
