FULLERTON, Calif. — The LA Blues announced today that defenders Matt Hall and Cory Miller will rejoin the team for the 2013 USL Pro season. Both defenders played for the Blues in the 2012 season.
“Having two veteran players re-sign with the Blues is very exciting for us,” said Warren Barton, the team’s general manager and technical director. “Matt and Cory give us the experience we need on the backline.”
Miller, 24, appeared in 19 games last season for the Blues. Prior to joining the Blues, Miller made his professional debut with the Carolina Railhawks in the 2011 season. As a collegiate player, Miller led Olivet Nazarene University to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference and the NAIA national tournament — two firsts for the program.
Hall, 25, made his professional debut with the Blues last season. Prior, Hall led the Las Vegas Knights, an indoor team, to its championship game. In 2010, he played for PDL team the Vermont Voltage and had an outstanding season, producing two assists in 15 contests.
The LA Blues start the 2013 campaign on March 23 at home against Phoenix FC. For 2013 season tickets, please visit lablues.ticketfly.com.
