WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Wilmington Hammerheads will host the Richmond Kickers at Legion Stadium on Saturday, July 7th at 7:30 pm. The Hammerheads go into Saturday’s match looking for their second win of the season against Richmond, which is hoping to rebound after a June 15th loss to the Hammerheads at Legion Stadium. The Kickers can move past the fourth-placed Hammerheads in the standings with a win on Saturday night.
The Hammerheads potent striker duo of Andriy Budnyy and Corey Hertzog are both in good form, currently sitting among the league leaders in both total points and goals scored. Budnyy leads the Hammerheads with seven goals, sitting third in USL PRO, while Hertzog has scored six times, putting him in a tie for fourth. Each player netted a goal against the Kickers in Wilmington's 2-1 win in their last meeting.
Also taking the field for the first time this weekend is Hammerheads newcomer Cody Arnoux. The 24-year-old was recently released by Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake and is no stranger to the Wilmington community. Arnoux is a Wilmington native and was a popular and talented player while he attended high school in the area.

The Wilmington Hammerheads will host the Rochester Rhinos on July 12th. In celebration of the greatest decade in recent memory, the Hammerheads with celebrate the 1980’s at the game. In honor of “80’s Night,” fans born in the 1980’s will be admitted for only $0.80!
