DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Dutch Lions are pleased to announce the signings of Dutch forward Lucien Seymour and the return of a pair of players from the club’s 2010 Premier Development League season, George Davis IV and Evan Schwartz.

Seymour signed a three-year contract with the club having previously played for Dutch Eredivisie club VVV-Venlo. The 27-year-old said he was excited for the opportunity to play with the Dutch Lions.

“I think it is great to have the opportunity to experience the sports mentality of the American people,” Seymour said. “Soccer in America is becoming more popular and I want to experience the way of playing in the States, also because it’s so different from Dutch soccer. Dayton Dutch Lions gives me the chance, so I am taking it.”

Davis IV was one of only three players to play in all 16 games of the Dutch Lions’ inaugural season a year ago. The 23-year-old, who recently graduated from the University of Kentucky, finished second on the team with five goals and led the team with seven assists a season ago.

Schwartz made 14 appearances for the Dutch Lions in 2010, principally at the right back position. A graduate of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Schwartz previously played professionally in Iceland.

“Last season was a great season for Davis IV,” Dutch Lions Technical Director Cor van Hoeven said. “With his unpredictable actions he makes it difficult for every opponent. Evan is a right defender with great ambitions. With ball possession he can play, especially with his speed, at the right side of the field. The Dayton Dutch Lions are pleased that these two players are back again.”
