TAMPA, Fla. - United Soccer Leagues announced today the Super-20 League divisional allotments for the 2012 Super-20 League North American Finals presented by Umbro. Sixteen teams from the men’s division and eight teams from the women’s division will compete for championship honors this year. The men’s and women’s finals will be held July 19-22 at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida.
The Mid Atlantic Division, with 21 teams in the men’s division, will send six teams to the finals. The reigning Super-20 men’s champions, Crew Juniors, will have a chance for a three-peat as the Midwest Division will receive three spots at the Super-20 Finals, as will the Mid South Division. The Southeast, New England, Pacific Southern California, and South Atlantic divisions will each receive one spot.
For the Super-20 women the Midwest, New England, and Rocky Mountain divisions will each be represented by one team at the Super-20 Finals. The Mid Atlantic Division will send three of its seven teams to the finals while Triangle FC, last year’s champions, will look to be one of two teams to attend the finals from the South Atlantic Division.
