Fifty-eight current and former USL Super Y-League and Super-20 League standouts are currently featured on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Girls National Top 150 Rankings. Released on May 7, the 2015 Girls list features 15 standouts from the Super Y-League, to go along with the 2013 and 2014 lists. Katherine Cousins (Richmond Kickers) and Betsy Brandon (Colorado Rush) were named in the top five of the 2015 rankings. In addition, 33 of the girls have participated with the U.S. National Team in some capacity.
No. 2 Katherine Cousins – Midfielder
Cousins featured with the Richmond Kickers U14 side that reached the 2010 Super Y-League North American Finals. She scored seven goals during the 2010 season. In 2011, with the Richmond Kickers U15 team, Cousins scored 11 goals and added seven assists as she led her team to an undefeated 12-0-0 season. She was also a 2011-12 95/96 ODP selection. Cousins was part of the U.S. U14 Girls National Development Program ID Camp in 2010.
No. 4 Betsy Brandon – Midfielder
Brandon (pictured, left) played for the Colorado Rush Super-20 team in 2011, and was a part of the U.S. U15 Girls’ National Team in 2011.
No. 9 Kayla Jennings – Midfielder
Jennings scored three goals for Match Fit Chelsea’s U13 team in 2010, and was named to the 96/97 Super Y-League ODP Select B Team in 2011. She was also called up to the U.S. U15 Girls National Team camp in Florida earlier this year.
No. 12 Alana Cook – Defender
Cook helped Match Fit Chelsea to a 13-1-0 record during the2010 U13 Super Y-league season. She was also called up to the U.S. U15 Girls National Team camp in Florida earlier this year.
No. 15 Melanie Monteagudo – Forward
Monteagudo of West Pines United was the leading scorer during the 2009 U 13 Super Y-League North American Finals with five goals and one assist, and was subsequently named to the U13 All-Tournament Team. During the 2010 season, she netted nine goals and assisted on five others for her U14 club, before scoring five goals and adding one assist in the 2010 Finals. Monteagudo was also named to the 2010 95/96 Super Y-League ODP Select Team.
No. 16 Brittany Simpson – Midfielder
Simpson played for Sunrise SC’s U13 team in 2008 and 2009, recording one goal and one assist in her second year. She was also called up to the U.S. U15 Girls’ National Team camp in Florida earlier this year.
No. 22 Jordan DiBiasi – Midfielder
DiBiasi (pictured, right) scored one goal and recorded two assists during the 2011 Super-20 season with the Colorado Rush.
No. 45 Katelyn Jensen – Goalkeeper
Jensen, the highest-ranked goalkeeper on the list, helped lead her Washington Freedom to the 2010 U13 Super Y-League North American Finals championship game. She was also a 2011 95/96 ODP selection. Jensen attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Team I.D. Camp in 2011.
No. 49 Nathalie Nidetch – Goalkeeper
Nidetch played for the Brooklyn Knights of the U14 Mid Atlantic Division during the 2011 Super Y-League season.
No. 56 Gabriella Carreiro – Midfielder
Carreiro recorded one assist during the 2009 Super Y-League season with U13 BW Rhode Island. She also attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Team I.D. Camp in 2011.
No. 65 Gabriela Rivera – Midfielder
Rivera helped U13 Atlanta Fire United win the Southeast Division in 2011, and was a 2011 96/97 and 97/98 ODP selection. She attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Team I.D. Camp in 2011.
No. 69 Megan Lawlor – Midfielder
With U14 TSF Academy, Lawlor scored two goals during the 2011 Super Y-League season. She was also a 2011 96/97 ODP selection.
No. 78 Julia Ashley – Defender
Ashley was a member of the U13 Match Fit Chelsea team that won its group in the 2010 Super Y-League North American Finals.
No. 82 Camille Kelton – Midfielder
Kelton scored three goals and added one assist during the U13 2010 Super Y-League season with the Long Island Rough Riders. She played with the Brooklyn Knights U14 team in 2012.
No. 135 Julia Suarez – Forward
Suarez was an offensive standout during the 2010 U14 Super Y-League season with the Washington Freedom.
No. 145 Karli Gutsche – Defender
Gutsche helped the U17 Brandon FC Flames achieve an undefeated season in 2011, and was a 2011-2012 95/96 Super Y-League ODP selection.
No. 2 Andi Sullivan – Forward
In 2009, Sullivan (pictured) scored one goal and added two assists for U14 Washington Freedom. She returned to the Freedom’s U15 team in 2010, recording five goals and two assists. She recently scored a goal in the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team’s 5-1 win against Trinidad & at the 2012 CONCACAF U20 Women’s Championship.
No. 4 Lydia Simmons – Midfielder
Simmons led the Seacoast United Wanderers as they won the 2011 U16 Super Y-League North American Finals championship, scoring five goals and adding two assists in the five games of the tournament. She had four goals and two assists during the season, and was named to the U16 All-Tournament Team. She attended the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team Camp in December 2011.
No. 15 Sabrina Flores – Defender
Flores played with Match Fit Chelsea during the 2008 U13 Super Y-League season.
No. 25 Monica Flores – Defender
Flores was a member of Match Fit Chelsea during the 2008 U13 Super Y-League season.
No. 44 Ashton Miller – Midfielder
Miller helped the Chicago Fire Juniors-Michigan reach the championship game ofthe2010 U14 Super Y-League North American Finals.
No. 57 Maddie Burdick – Midfielder
Burdick registered one goal and one assist during the 2009 Super Y-League season for U13 Atlanta Fire United.
No. 89 Delaney Fechalos – Defender
During the 2009 U13 Super Y-League season, Fechalos scored one goal for Atlanta Fire United.
No. 96 Julia Moore – Midfielder
Moore played for the U13 Plantation Eagles FC team during the 2008 Super Y-League season, and then moved t o Plantation’s U15 team in 2009. During the 2009 season, she scored four goals.
No. 98 Schuyler Debree – Defender
Debree notched one assist during Match Fit Chelsea’s 2010 U15 Super Y-League season. She also attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Development Program I.D. Camp in August 2010.
No. 117 Emily Ogle – Midfielder
Ogle scored six goals and added three assists during the 2010 U14 Super Y-League season for Cleveland Internationals, before totaling two goals and one assist in that year’s North American Finals. She was also named to the U14 All-Tournament Team. In 2011, Ogle recorded three goals and one assist for the U15 Cleveland Internationals. She was also in the 2011 95/96 and 96/97 Super Y-League ODP selections. Ogle attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Development Program I.D. Camp in 2010.
No. 128 Rubina Veerakone – Midfielder
Veerakone played for Alliance Academy’s U16 team during the 2010 Super Y-League season. She also attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ I.D. Camp in 2009.
No. 141 Jessica Vigna – Midfielder
Vigna played for U14 Parsippany SC during the 2009 Super Y-League season. In 2010, she was a member of Match Fit Chelsea’s Super-20 team.
No. 148 Aliza Wolfe – Defender
Wolfe played for the U13 Washington Freedom in 2009 and the club’s U14 team during the 2010 Super Y-League season.
No. 1 Morgan Andrews – Midfielder
Andrews (pictured)was the youngest player on the New Hampshire Phantoms U13 roster in 2005 at only 10 years of age. She was a 2007 Super Y-League ODP selection and played for Seacoast United’s U15 squad during the 2008 season. Andrews is the starting center mid for the U.S. U17 WNT, and is committed to Boston College.
No. 11 Gabrielle Seiler – Midfielder
Seiler was a Super Y-League National ODP Camp Alternate Selection for 1994/1995 girls with Atlanta Silverbacks Jrs. Seiler attended the U.S. U18 Women’s National Team Camp in January 2012.She is currently committed to the University of Georgia.
No. 12 Joanna Boyles – Midfielder
Boyles helped CASL RailHawks win the 2008 U13 Super Y-League North American Finals championship, earning special praise for being the youngest member of the team. She was also a Super Y-League National ODP Camp First Selection for 1994/1995 girls. Boyles helped the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team by scoring a goal and adding an assist in a game against Trinidad & Tobago on May 5 in the 2012 CONCACAF U17 Women’s Championship. She is currently committed to the University of North Carolina.
No. 17 Alexis Shaffer – Midfielder
Shaffer was a member of the CASL RailHawks team that won the 2008 U13 Super Y-League North American Finals championship. She recorded two goals and two assists during the 2008 season. Shaffer was a Super Y-League National ODP Camp First Selection for 1994/1995 girls, and attended the U.S. U18 Women’s National Team camp in January 2012 as a defender. She is currently committed to the University of Virginia.
No. 22 Morgan Stanton – Midfielder
Originally registered with the Colorado Rush’s Super-20 League team, Stanton was called to the W-League squad before the 2011 season began. She has featured with the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team at the 2012 CONCACAF U17 Women’s Championship. Stanton is currently committed to Santa Clara University.
No. 23 Elizabeth Raben – Defender
Raben featured for the Colorado Rush Super-20 League team during the 2011 season. She is a member of the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team that competed at the 2012 CONCACAF U17 Women’s Championship. Raben is currently committed to Duke University.
No. 29 Danica Evans – Forward
Evans scored two goals during the 2010 Super-20 League season for the Colorado Rush. She played for the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team in 2011. Evans is currently committed to the University of Portland.
No. 30 Allison Wetherington – Midfielder
Wetherington played for Atlanta Silverbacks Jrs. during her time in the Super Y-League. She attended the U.S. U18 Women’s National Team camp in January 2012. Wetherington is currently committed to the University of Portland.
No. 31 Margaret Purce – Forward
Purce recorded a team-high five goals and five assists for U13 Washington Freedom in 2009, and moved to the U14 team for the 2010 Super Y-League season. She featured with the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team at the 2012 CONCACAF U17 Women’s Championship.
No. 33 Morgan Stearns – Goalkeeper
Stearns played for the Washington Freedom during the 2009 U14 Super Y-League season. She attended the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp in October 2011. Stearns is currently committed to the University of Virginia.
No. 36 Lindsey Lane – Midfielder
In 2008, Lane played for Southern Maryland FC’s U13 and U17 teams. She recorded one goal and one assist for U15 Maryland Rush in 2009. Lane also attended the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp in April 2011. She is currently committed to the University of South Carolina.
No. 39 Savannah Jordan – Forward
Jordan played for Atlanta Silverbacks Jrs. during her time with the Super Y-League. She also attended the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp in December 2011. Jordan is currently committed to the University of Florida.
No. 53 Claire Wagner – Defender
Wagner recorded one goal and five assists as a member of the CASL RailHawks team that won the 2008 U13 Super Y-League North American Finals championship. She also attended the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp in October 2011. Wagner is currently committed to Clemson University.
No. 61 Madison Hall – Midfielder
Hall played for the Colorado Rush of the Super-20 League in 2011. She is currently committed to the University of Portland.
No. 65 Havana McElvaine – Midfielder
McElvaine recorded one goal and one assist during the 2011 Super-20 League season with the Colorado Rush. She was a member of the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team that faced Japan in two friendlies in August 2011. McElvaine is currently committed to the University of Washington.
No. 72 Cameron Castleberry – Midfielder
Castleberry played for the CASL RailHawks during the 2008 U13 Super Y-League season, and won the championship that year in the North American Finals. She attended the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp in June 2011. Castleberry is currently committed to the University of North Carolina.
No. 74 Taylor Schissler – Midfielder
Schissler was a member of the Chicago Fire during her career in the Super Y-League. She attended the U.S. U18 Women’s National Team camp in November 2011. Schissler is currently committed to Ohio State University.
No. 82 Vanessa Kovar – Midfielder
Kovar played for U13 Northern Virginia Majestics during the 2008 Super Y-League season. She also attended the U.S. U15 Girls’ National Team camp in August 2010. Kovar is currently committed to the University of South Carolina.
No. 88 Nicole Driesse – Midfielder
Driesse played for the New Jersey Stallions during her time with the Super Y-League. She is currently committed to the University of North Carolina.
No. 95 Haley Roberson – Defender
Roberson helped the Washington Freedom win the 2010 U16 Super Y-League North American Finals championship. She attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Team I.D. Camp in July 2009. Roberson is currently committed to Auburn University.
No. 98 Alexandra Myers – Midfielder
Myers was a member of the 2010 U16 Super Y-League North American Finals championship-winning Washington Freedom. She attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ National Team I.D. Camp in July 2009. Myers is currently committed to the University of South Florida.
No. 100 Kaeli Schmidt – Goalkeeper
Schmidt played with Arsenal Colorado during the 2011 Super-20 League season. She attended the U.S. U14 Girls’ I.D. Camp in July 2009. Schmidt is currently committed to Saint Mary’s College of California.
No. 102 Taylor Francis – Goalkeeper
Francis was named to the 2008 U13 All-Tournament Team as she backstopped her CASL RailHawks to the North American Finals championship. She is currently committed to the University of Pittsburgh.
No. 105 Kiana Clarke – Defender
Clarke was a member of West Pines United during the 2009 U14 Super Y-League season. She was also selected to the 95/96 Super Y-League ODP Select Team in 2010. Clarke is currently committed to Auburn University.
No. 109 Jackie Stengel – Forward
Stengel led Schulz Academy in scoring with eight goals and one assist during the 2009 U14 Super Y-League season.
No. 121 Taylor Bucklin – Goalkeeper
Bucklin played for Quickstrike FC’s U13 team in 2008 and the U16 team during the 2009 Super Y-League season.
No. 130 Alexis Degler – Midfielder
Degler scored the game-winning goal for CASL RailHawks in the championship game of the 2008 U13 Super Y-League North American Finals. She is currently committed to Ohio State University.
No. 142 Taylor Nelson – Defender
Nelson spent the 2011 Super-20 League season with Arsenal Colorado. She is currently committed to the University of Cincinnati.
No. 147 Lauren Tanner – Forward
Tanner played for Atlanta Fire United during the 2008 U13 Super Y-League season and the U14 team in 2009. She is currently committed to the University of Georgia.
