BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Bohemians have announced their roster for the club’s inaugural season. The team is peppered with local talent, who will represent Baltimore for this historic season.
MLS draftee Andrew Bulls (UMBC) and former FC Delco/Baltimore Bays Chelsea star Chris Somerville (UVA) will bolster the team’s attack. They will be joined by Baltimore native Pete Caringi III (UMBC), Princeton and D.C. United Academy standout Julian Griggs and Nigerian-born Kingsley Onwuka (UMBC).
University of Pennsylvania NSCAA All-Region star and MLS draft pick Christian Barreiro will hold down the midfield, which also will feature former Red Bull Academy player Kyle McCord (UVA). NC State’s Mamadou Kansaye will slot into a defensive midfielder role, along with Liberian rocket man Elton Joe (CCBC-Essex). The midfield is rounded out by Brian Graham (UNC-Greensboro), Jeremy Kirkwood (Washington U.), Michael Molloy (Mt. St. Mary’s), David Vaeth (UMBC), Hugh Roberts (George Mason) and former Crystal Palace Baltimore and D.C. United veteran G.R. Cannon.
Anchoring the backline along with goalkeeper Phil Saunders (UMBC) will be a trio of former Bays defenders – Mali native Oumar Ballo (UMBC), Maryland standout Marquez Fernandez and Joseph Meyer (Bucknell). They’ll be joined by English import Gbenga Makinde (NC State) and Jamaican defender Dwayne Williams (Rhode Island).
