ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Lions have announced the signing of three players to the 2012 roster. Kenny Kranz is returning for his third year with the club and will be joined by a couple of newcomers Diego Dos Santos and Marcelo Carreiro both from Brazil.

In 2011 for NIU Kranz played in 19 matches, recording five points (one goal and three assists). Kranz had two assists against Western Illinois in the NCAA Tournament First Round. Last year with the Lions, Kranz played in 13 games registering seven points (three goals and one assist)
Dos Santos, a forward from Missouri Valley College, is entering his first season with the Lions. Dos Santos is from Puerto Alegre, Brazil and just finished his freshman season with the Vikings.
Carreiro, a forward from William Woods University, played in 16 games for the Owls registering 28 points (nine goals and 10 assists with 85 shots). Carreiro, of Sao Paulo, was recognized as a first team All-AMC performer. Carreiro is a repeat honoree as he was recognized in 2010 as AMC Freshman of the Year and Honorable Mention in the All-AMC Team.
The St Louis Lions are entering their seventh season in the PDL competing in the Heartland Division. The season kicks off on the road May 12th against the Des Moines Menace.
