DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Dutch Lions FC are proud to announce their partnership with The Crowne Plaza Dayton. The Crowne Plaza Dayton has entered into a three-year contract with the Dutch Lions to provide accommodations to all visiting teams. USL PRO mandates that all home teams provide a certain level of accommodations, including late check-out to their opposing teams. The Crowne Plaza generously offered their newly renovated hotel to the Lions, an offer that is almost “too good to be true,” said Dayton Dutch Lions marketing manager, Laurie Smalley.
“The offer is so generous and the atmosphere of the hotel epitomizes the branding philosophy of the Dutch Lions and USL PRO soccer," Smalley said. "We are thrilled that we can offer such comfortable and luxurious accommodations to our USL PRO opponents.”
“We are proud to sponsor the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and to be a part of the momentum that we are seeing in The Miami Valley," said Kris Davis, Director of Sales for The Crowne Plaza Dayton. "Dayton is in middle of a re-birth and we welcome companies like the Dutch Lions who see Dayton as a vibrant and thriving city and who are contributing to the sports and entertainment industry here. The Crowne Plaza Dayton hotel is the perfect gateway to all that the city has to offer, including professional soccer.”
Not only is the hotel ideally located in downtown Dayton with access to all that the city has to offer, the Stars Rooftop Restaurant provides breathtaking views and a delicious dining experience, making it the perfect spot for parties, press conferences and post-game entertainment. In fact, the Dutch Lions will host their first official pre-game, including a meet and greet with players, coaching staff, owners and management at Stars Rooftop Restaurant at the top of the The Crowne Plaza Dayton on Thursday, April 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For information on this event, please send an email to Laurie Smalley at l.smalley@daytondutchlionfc.com.
The Dutch Lions’ home opener is scheduled for Saturday night as the Rochester Rhinos visit Careflight Field at Springboro High School at 7:30 p.m. For more information and tickets, visit www.dutchlionsfc.com.
