CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Charleston Battery has agreed to terms with two more players for the upcoming USL PRO season. Midfielders Alex Caskey and JC Mack both join the Battery after impressing during the preseason. Both players attended the Charleston Battery’s final player trial in February.
Caskey joins the Battery for his rookie professional season after a four-year college career with Davidson College. A native of Dunwoody, Ga., the 22-year-old Caskey did not miss a game during his Davidson career, starting all 76 matches.
A Columbus, Ohio native, Mack also joins the Battery for his rookie pro season. Mack, who is also 22 years old, participated in the player trials in February and earned a roster spot following strong showings in the Carolina Challenge Cup. Mack previously played for the Chicago Fire Premier PDL and Super-20 teams.
“Alex and JC have both earned a spot on our roster and both players have tremendous potential to move up the professional ladder," Battery coach Mike Anhaeuser said. "Alex will add depth to our midfield and JC brings a dangerous player on the wing or up front.”
