LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Heat Soccer Club announced today that legendary Mexican side, Club America will be visiting the Gateway City on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 with their Under-20 team coached by former “Americanista’s” Guillermo “Memo” Huerta and Marco Antonio Sanchez Yacuta and under the direction of club development coordinator Jesus “Chucho” Ramirez. Kickoff between the Laredo Heat and the Club America Under-20s will be at 8 p.m. at the Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex.
Ticket pricing for this International Friendly Match will be $7 for Adult General Admission and $1 for Kids 12 and Under General Admission. VIP Tickets will also be available for $20 for both adults and children.
A few of the players travelling to Laredo with Coach Huerta and “Chucho” Ramirez will be Carlos Aurelio Lopez, the Mexican Under-20 Columbia 2011 World Cup goalkeeper, Luis Ernesto Olascoaga and Renato Mitchell Gonzalez, both players have debuted for the first division team, Gil Cordero Burgos, player for Mexico’s Under-15, Under-17 and Under-20 National Teams, Antonio Lopez Ojeda, Mexican National Team and America first division player and Martin Zuñiga Barria, current player on the Mexican Under-20 National Team.
The Club America Aguilas Under-20 team has three consecutive league titles under their belt and currently sits in second place, one point behind the UNAM Pumas in the Under-20 Division.
“For our local Mexican Soccer Federation fans, this game is a must attend not only because the stature of the club itself but also because of the players that will be playing in Laredo, current first division and national team players in Mexico do not always come to the Gateway City to showcase their talents”, said Heat Owner Shashi Vaswani.
“As we do every year with these international friendly games, we always have our fans in mind as we always want to bring them quality soccer teams and soccer personalities to watch first hand here at home. Because of our relationship with former World Cup Championship Coach Chucho Ramirez, we have been able to cultivate these alliances that bring positive recognition to our city and sport."
Tickets for this match can be bought in advance at the Laredo Heat Soccer Club office located at 7220 Bob Bullock Loop, brown office building next to the La Quinta Inn and Suites on Loop 20 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday or at the gate starting at 7:00 P.M. on game day.
