BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Bohemians of the PDL have signed Mike Lookingland as an assistant coach for the 2012 season.

A native of the Baltimore area, Lookingland has a proven track record of success at every level of professional soccer in the United States. After a successful college career at Bucknell, Lookingland joined Real Salt Lake of MLS, making appearances for both the first and reserve teams. After his time at Salt Lake, Lookingland signed by the Baltimore Blast, winning league titles in 2006, 2008 and 2009. He was named to the MISL All-Rookie team in 2007 and was named Defender of the Year for the 2011-2012 season.

This is not his first exposure to USL. Lookingland was a member of the Harrisburg City Islanders team that won the USL Second Division title in 2007. He was named to Second Team All-USL-2 that season. Lookingland was also a member of Crystal Palace Baltimore during their USL-2 campaign in 2008.

Recently, Mike has turned his talents towards coaching. He spent four years as head coach of the Baltimore Bays Blues, leading the team to a top 20 national ranking during their U-16 season in 2009. He is currently head coach of Bays Dynasty and Bays Darby teams, leading both youth teams to titles across the Eastern Seaboard. Lookingland is also the director of Soccer Shots Baltimore, an introductory soccer program for children aged 3-8.
