TAMPA, Fla. – United Soccer Leagues is pleased to announce that T4 Soccer, LLC has been selected as the 2012 USL Super-Y League ODP National Camps Official Performance Testing Partner.

T4 will performance test players participating at the 2012 Super Y-League ODP National Camps at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. The camps, with more than 400 registered players, are scheduled to run from February 23-26 (boys) and March 1-4 (girls). Players will undergo T4 performance assessment tests that include the 30 meter linear sprint with 10 meter and 20 meter splits, 505 agility, vertical jump and the Yo Yo intermittent recovery test. The tests will be administered by a T4 certified assessment specialist, utilizing state-of-the-art measuring equipment to ensure precise scoring.

“Adding T4’s performance assessment testing and data analysis system to our competitive game and training session observations will further enhance the Super Y-Leagues staff’s ability to comprehensively evaluate each player,” USL National Technical Director Peter Mellor said. “In addition, we are providing our top players with the opportunity to undergo scientific testing that will help them determine their physical strengths and weaknesses and provide them with a baseline for future development.”

T4 Soccer, LLC (www.t4soccer.com), a leading soccer-performance assessment company, has developed a battery of sport-specific tests to evaluate players’ speed, agility, power, and aerobic and anaerobic endurance. These tests are designed to objectively evaluate a player’s physical soccer performance and are supported by scientific research. In addition, T4 has created a web-based system that allows clubs and teams to store players’ scores so they can track performance, monitor ongoing player improvement, compare players’ physical performance across the team and club.

Upon completion of the testing, player scores will be uploaded to the T4 web-based system, enabling the Super Y-League ODP staff to efficiently analyze and compare the physical performance of players by age group and gender.

“We are thrilled to be named the 2012 USL Super-Y League ODP Camps Official Performance Testing Partner,” said Mark Shearer, T4 CEO and founder. “Conducting the performance assessment testing for the Super-Y League ODP National Camp players is a fantastic opportunity for us and it clearly demonstrates USL’s confidence in the integrity of our scientifically based performance testing protocol. We’re certain that the Super Y-League ODP staff will quickly realize the value of our web-based score analysis system to track, analyze, monitor and compare their player scores.”
