MASPETH, N.Y. – The Brooklyn Knights are pleased to welcome Matt Guercio, John Crimarco and Matt Pucci to the club's administrative staff to hold the positions of General Manager, Director of Operations and Director of Media & Public Relations, respectively.
“On behalf of the Met Oval/Brooklyn Knights Board we are extremely happy having Matt Guercio on board as our new GM, his experience will guide the Knights into this new season with a new level for the years to come,” said Met Oval President Jim Vogt. “In addition the hiring of Matt Pucci and John Crimarco to our staff has now rounded out the restructure of the Brooklyn Knights PDL Team and there vast knowledge will help guide the front office. With the changes on and off the field at the Brooklyn Knights We are excited for this up coming season.”
The trio brings with them a wide array of experience accumulated within the sport industry during their professional careers, which they feel will be essential for the Knights as the organization continues its rebranding phase.
“I would like to thank Coach Lindberg and President James Vogt for this tremendous opportunity,” said Guercio. “I am eager to begin and make a positive contribution to the Knights and the Metropolitan Oval Foundation.”
In addition to the General Manager position Guercio works as the Coordinator of Athletic Operations & Special Events for LIU Post Athletics Department, where he has played a crucial role in providing logistical support to the university’s 15 NCAA Division II athletic programs for the last six years.
Crimarco, a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and Pucci, a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, both have been working on Guercio’s LIU Post staff since August 2011.
“I‘m very excited to have John and Matt on board,” said Guercio. “I strongly believe what they have learned thus far in their careers as young professionals will be pivotal toward to the overall success of the Knights.”
